Lero has established the Lero Graduate School in Software Engineering (LGSSE). This is a 4-year PhD program that provides participants the opportunity to access a leading edge curriculum, get access to critical mass of world-class software researchers and have the ability to leverage research collaborations with leading research institutions and industry worldwide.
Lero supports PhD students by organising events and provides services for postgraduate students and researchers. Our goal is to make the Lero research experience a productive and fulfilling one and to provide the necessary resources for our researchers.
Lero runs an annual Doctoral Symposium for Lero PhD students. This gives Lero PhD students the opportunity to present their research work to their colleagues and to an external review panel. The review panel will provide feedback to students and even offer some advice.
Lero runs a biennial writers’ retreat for PhD students. This allows students the opportunity to concentrate on their writing skills and to get feedback on their writing styles.
Lero participates in the annual Thesis in 3 competition. This is a great opportunity for Lero PhD students to present an “elevator pitch” of their research in 3 minutes using 3 slides. For more information on this event see http://www.clarity-centre.org/thesisin3/.
