Overcoming Resistance to Change

Abstract

In introducing and driving the adoption of agile software development methods in organizations, change agents face resistance to change in a wide variety of forms. In this highly interactive mixed-format half- day session, the presenters describe different types of resistance to change, different behavioral expressions of resistance, how patterns of resistance relate to the organizational area that originated the idea for the change and to the different priorities of various groups in an organization, and effective approaches to countering resistance.
